The immigration medical examination must be performed by a physician designated by the US Department of State (also known as a “panel physician”).
There are certain types of illnesses and medical conditions that doctors will be looking for:
-Gonorrhea.
-Infectious leprosy.
-Infectious syphilis.
-Active tuberculosis.
- Diseases that are susceptible to quarantine.
-Diseases that put public health at risk.
Also the doctor in charge must ensure that it complies with the vaccinations required by the United States. When you come for your consultation, be sure to bring your current passport and vaccination card.
